My Story
It started with one conversation.
It wasn't even something I ever imagined I'd do, but here I am.

It wasn't something I was looking for.
If you'd asked me a couple of years ago whether I'd ever start a business, I'd probably have laughed.
I'd spent 25 years building a career in the travel industry that I genuinely loved, working in Commercial Partnerships for an independent market-leading travel business.
I was fortunate enough to work alongside some incredible people, partnering with some well known, and global hotel groups, along with some of the UK's biggest attractions to create short break experiences for thousands of travellers.
Then, following a company restructure, everything changed.
Like many people, I suddenly found myself wondering what came next.
One thing I did know was that I wanted something of my own, somewhere to put the same energy, commitment and passion I always give to my career.
I just had no idea what that looked like.

It started with one conversation.
Around that time, I'd been following someone I knew on Instagram.
She always seemed to be travelling, yet she talked about working at the same time and helping other people do the same.
I was intrigued, but I'll admit, I was sceptical.
I'd spent my career asking questions, analysing opportunities and making commercial decisions.
Taking a leap into something completely unfamiliar wasn't really my style.
But I trusted her, I was curious, and eventually I reached out.
Looking back, that one conversation changed far more than I expected.
Today, I'm building something I enjoy.
I'm continuing to build my career while also growing something that's mine.
It fits around daily life, family life and work, rather than replacing any of it.
It's still early days, and I certainly don't pretend to have all the answers, but every week I learn something new, meet like minded people, and become a little more excited about what the future could look like.
It takes me a little outside of my comfort zone, but I'm putting the same energy into building something for myself that I've spent the last 25 years giving to somebody else's business, and I'm really looking forward to seeing where it leads.
Perhaps most importantly, it's shown me that it's never too late to try something new.
